How to Download MP4 Videos on iPhone
Download videos from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more — right in Safari. No app to install, no signup. Here's exactly how.
Download in 4 steps
- Copy the video link. In TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or any supported app, tap Share → Copy Link on the video you want.
- Open xi in Safari. Go to apiproai.com and paste the link into the input box, then tap Download.
- Tap the download button. When xi shows the video, tap the download button. Safari will confirm the download — tap Download again in the popup.
- Find it in Files. Open the Files app → Downloads folder. Your video is there as an MP4.
iPhone quirks, solved
iPhones don't have a visible "Downloads" folder the way Android does, which confuses everyone the first time. Since iOS 13, Safari downloads files to the Files app — that's Apple's official download manager. Your xi downloads land in Files → Downloads every time.
If tapping the download button plays the video instead of saving it, don't panic: tap the Share icon inside the video player and choose Download, or long-press xi's download button and pick Download Linked File. Both work.
Everything happens in the browser, so there are no App Store workarounds, no configuration profiles, and no apps asking for photo-library access. It works on any iPhone running a recent iOS.
Frequently asked questions
Where do downloaded videos go on iPhone?
Safari saves them to the Files app, in the Downloads folder (On My iPhone → Downloads, or iCloud Drive → Downloads depending on your settings).
Can I move the video to the Photos app?

Do I need to install an app to download videos on iPhone?

Why did the video open instead of downloading?
If Safari plays the video instead of downloading, tap Share in the player and choose Download — or long-press xi's download button and select Download Linked File.
